Welcome to the homepage for our 2011/2012 School Council.

We are all keen to work very hard to improve the school. You can come and find us in the playground at any playtime. We will talk to you in class about what we discuss in School Council.

OCTOBER 2011: BOOKS

Children felt that more books were needed for them to read at home.
Mr Wallace said that the school spent thousands of pounds every year on books. He asked if school councillors could remind their classmates to bring books back. School council said they would and said that there was still a need for more books.

ACTION
A new book order has been placed and the books have begun to arrive. Many are already in the corridors.
Children have been told in assembly that they should only ever take two books home and that these books must be returned to school on Accelerated Reader test day.

OCTOBER 2011: THE TOILETS
School Council discussed the toilets…
There were a number of issues raised and the school councillors felt that more could be done to ensure the toilets were always in a good state.
ACTION
A new rota has been introduced to ensure the toilets are checked on a regular basis. Staff will now sign a special sheet to show that they have checked the toilets. Toilet rolls and soap for dispenser can be found in Les' office.
All children should make sure that any problems in the toilets are reported to staff. If the problem continues, see Miss Mather or Mr Wallace.
