WOODBERRY DOWN
Woodberry Grove, Lonon N4 1SY
Community Primary School
Celebrating Refugee Week has become a tradition at Woodberry Down, with very successful events organised in both 2004 and 2005. 25% of our children are refugees – Refugee Week is one way of the ways we aim to show that we value, and want to include, all our children.
This year we have loads of great things happening:
• a six week cross curricular topic based on Beverley Naidoo’s award-winning book The Other Side of Truth for Y5 and 6
• another six week topic for Years 3 and 4 (in geography) about Somalia
• artists and workshops
• trips
• assemblies
• competitions
• a visit from Beverley Naidoo herself.
