When Alem first arrives in the UK he stays at a hotel in a village near to Heathrow - Datchet Village. We wondered how much of Benjamin Zephaniah's story was true and how much was imagination. So we went to Datchet to find out. We wrote lots of questions of our own, including:
How many churches are in the village?
How many hotels?
Is there a library?
Is there a hotel called 'The Palace Hotel'?
Alem walked from Datchet to Windsor? Can we do that?
