CHARMOUTH
A very long time ago - about 180 million years. This is an artist's impression (The Heritage Coast Centre) of the sea that covered Dorset in the Jurassic age. The dolphin like creature on the right is an ichthyosaur; to the left is a plesiosaur, together with sharks, ammonites and crinoids.
